An Integrative approach to therapy work

Everyone needs a coach. It doesn’t matter whether you’re a basketball player, a tennis player, a gymnast or a bridge player.

Bill Gates

The only limit to your impact is your imagination and commitment.

Tony Robbins

The real glory is being knocked to your knees and then coming back. That’s real glory. That’s the essence of it.

Vince Lombardi

Each person holds so much power within themselves that needs to be let out. Sometimes they just need a little nudge, a little direction, a little support, a little coaching, and the greatest things can happen.

Pete Carroll

If you put yourself in a position where you have to stretch outside your comfort zone, then you are forced to expand your consciousness.

Les Brown

“What is necessary to change a person is to change his awareness of himself.”

Abraham Maslow

a strategic approach to therapy work

As a former student of the Robbins and Madanes Core 100 Strategic Coaching programme, having studied numerous coaching modalities and, as a proponent of helping clients to self-actualise and learn to help themselves, I adpot a coaching style to much of my therapy work.

For me, Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is simply a therapeutic application of cognitive and behavioural coaching (CBC) and when working with therapy clients, applying it via the use of hypnosis in guiding the client’s imagination is a great way to affect powerful change.

Without the right experience and training in coaching individuals (or groups), sometimes what a hypnotherapist can offer a client can prove to be limited. A reliance on the use of hypnotic phenomena to create the perception of change, or the application of processes ‘done to’ clients, is no substitute for educating the client and coaching them in greater self-awareness and self-efficacy.

Below are some of the areas where an integration of coaching and hypnosis have proved hugely beneficial to my therapeutic clients. I also work with individuals in a solely coaching capacity finding Strategic Coaching Solutions to their professional and personal challenges (scroll down for more info on those services).

Professional Strategic COACHING

Over time, some of my therapeutic practice and client base evolved into a more organised coaching and consulting service. While coaching remained central, the emphasis had shifted from personal to professional concerns, and extended to offering strategic coaching and consulting services to not only individuals, but businesses and organisations as well.

If you would prefer to work with me in a strategic coaching capacity, below are examples of the type of coaching I offer professionals and organisations.
